FABRIC + CONSTRUCTION
What is GSM and why does it matter?
GSM stands for grams per square meter — the density of the fabric. Higher GSM means more material per unit of clothes, which means more structure, more durability, and more presence. THE OUR STORE engineered three weights for T-shirts : 180 (everyday), 220 (structured), 240 (heavyweight). Most brands don't tell you this number. We lead with it.
What does bio-washed mean?
Bio-washing is an enzyme finishing process applied to the fabric before a single stitch is sewn. It seals the fibres, removes surface fuzz, and creates a smooth hand-feel from day one. No break-in period. No pilling after three washes. The garment arrives already finished.
Why does TOS fabric hold its shape better than others?
The construction of our fabric includes shape-retention engineering — the weave is calibrated to return to its original geometry after every wash. The collar does not sag. The body does not stretch out. The silhouette you receive is the silhouette you keep
What is fabric composition of Basics VOL.1 Drop
We describe our construction by what it does, not what it contains. 100%Bio-washed engineered cotton. Shape-retention weave. These are more accurate descriptions of the experience than a percentage breakdown.
Will the color fade after washing?
No. The bio-washed process seals the colour at a fibre level. The Matte Black stays black. The Polar White stays white. Wash cold, inside out, and the colour holds across years of wear.
SIZING + FIT
What is the difference between regular fit and oversized fit?
The Standard (180 GSM) is a regular fit — it sits clean at the body without excess volume. The Structure (220 GSM) and The Monolith (240 GSM) are oversized — extended body length, dropped shoulder, boxy silhouette. Refer to the size guide for exact measurements.
Is the sizing unisex?
Yes. All three constructions are designed to fit all bodies. The regular fit sits clean regardless of body type. The oversized fits are intentionally architectural — they are meant to drape, not conform.
How do I know which size to order?
Use the size guide linked below every size selector. Our model is 5'8", 72kg and wears size M across all three constructions.
Will it shrink after washing?
No. The bio-washed construction is pre-finished. The garment will not shrink when washed in cold water on a gentle cycle. Machine wash cold, do not tumble dry on high heat.
ORDERS + SHIPPING
How fast do you ship?
Orders are dispatched within 24 hours. Delivery across India takes5-8 business days. Tracked shipment — you receive a link once dispatched.
Can I exchange for a different size?
Yes. Size exchanges are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the garment is unworn and in original condition. Contact us via the chat or contact page to initiate.
THE VAULT + DROPS
What is 'the vault'?
THE OUR STORE is not a permanent collection brand. We produce in limited drops — finite units, considered constructions, no trend cycles. Vol. 01 is Conscious Essentials. When it closes, Vol. 02 begins. The vault is what you enter when you decide quality over replacement.
Will you restock if something sells out?
We do not restock Vol. 01 as a standard practice. 10 units per size was the production run. When a size is gone, it is gone. Vol. 02 is already being planned — join the waitlist to know first.!
What is Vol. 02 drop ?
Vol. 02 is unannounced. Join the waitlist and you will know before anyone else.
Why only 10 units per size?
Because we do not manufacture to fill a shelf. We engineer to a standard, produce what that standard requires, and close the drop when it is complete. This is how the vault works
